Kryptic minds studio mix (blackdown)

Looking forward to hearing more from Kryptic Minds this year...

"Kryptic Minds are one of many to have made the leap from drum & bass to dubstep, and they're doing it rather well. with their debut lp 'one of us' dropping on loefah's swamp 81 label later this year, they had a chat with blackdown about all things music, and put this mix together to go with it too..."

TEXT006 Burial and Four tet - Moth / wolf club (obligatory post)

Massive all black 12" from electronic music's most in demand. Both sides are awesome but Moth pips it.

Blunted presents... borestep

If minimalism is an art form stripped back to its fundamental elements then a genre of music built solely around bass & drums should have, by definition, the principle of minimalism at its very core.

Interesting article. Obviously whether the music is boring or interesting depends on perception! Whodathortit.

Kjell Calmante Influence Records INFLUGB005

Kjell clearly likes pushing the proverbial envelope and he's clearly quality not quantity orientated with his few releases popping up on Creative Source, Colours Audio and Horizons and Function over the last couple of years.

Calmante is a track I have been hammering for a few of months already and it's only getting better. Released on Aaron Jay's influence records - a label that may yet achieve influence - back in March - I'm already wearing out the grooves on mine.

Boom tune a blow dem mind.
